As an artist from Mexico City, my creative journey has been significantly shaped by the eight transformative years I spent living and painting outdoors in the mesmerizing landscapes of the Southwestern US desert. The vast expanse of arid land, with its majestic mesas and intricately textured rock formations, taught me to appreciate the delicate balance between stillness and movement, nurturing a close connection with nature; the central focus and inspiration of my art work.

The silence in the desert is both captivating and humbling. There are no honking cars or chattering voices there, only a serene stillness that envelops everything. It is a silence so profound that it becomes a canvas for introspection. The beauty of the desert's stillness is a reminder that sometimes, the most meaningful experiences come from embracing simplicity.

The years I spent in the desert remain a strong influence on my work as it is my wish that through my art others may also feel the quietude and serenity of nature.
